Garrett Clifford Design is a comprehensive graphic arts packaging studio located in midtown Manhattan. With over 30 years of experience, we offer a full range of services specializing in both design and creations of high quality prototypes.

Services
Product & Package Design
While we specialize in construction and creation of primary and secondary prototypes, we are also proficient in design itself. Using our wide experience in the packaging industry, we regularly assist clients in refining and developing their ideas and projects.
Screen Printing
Our screenshop enables us to rapidly execute projects all under one roof. Once a design is approved, we are able to move directly to screen printing saving both time and cost. We use both lacquer and vinyl-based inks and are able to print on a wide variety of substrates.
Hot Stamping
GCD uses 2 hot-stamping presses. Our antique hand operated press is employed for smaller jobs that require major precision. For more sizable jobs we use a modern large-scale hydraulic press operated on compressed air. Both directly apply colored metallic foils by heat and pressure. We have longstanding relationships with several major foil manufacturers and can generally get whatever type of foil you require in a day or so.
Embossing/Debossing
In addition to hot-stamping, our two presses also function as embossing (pushed outward) and debossing (pushed inward) machines. We use 1/4″ etched plates with machined counter-plates that provide an incredibly strong and sharp level of detail and contrast for even the smallest artwork.
Transfers (Traditional/CMYK)
GCD prides itself on being on the few places left in NYC that still makes rubdowns. We offer a full range of ink-based transfers from simple black or white, to composite sheets with multiple colors, to CMYK.
Custom Spraying
GCD has long and varied experience mixing and spraying custom colors. We have sprayed everything from die-cast models to museum benches. Whatever your spraying needs are, we will take care of them.
Production Ready Comps, Traditional/Digital Comping
Prototypes are our main focus at GCD. We provide a wide variety of prototype services and can execute everything from a multiple color silkscreened production ready comp to a simple printed digital comp for a meeting. We specialize in both primary and secondary components.
Large Scale Prints
GCD can print up to 44 inches wide and to whatever length is necessary on a variety of substrates.
Mechanicals
In addition to prototypes, GCD offers mechanical services for both primary and secondary components.
